Thursday is set to be a busy night at South Jacksonville Village Hall with four separate meetings already on the schedule.
Things get underway with a Public Protection Committee Meeting at 5:45 p.m., where committee members will discuss the purchase of a pickup truck for the fire department.
Several noteworthy topics will be reviewed during the Planning and Public Facilities Committee Meeting at 6 p.m.
Committee members will go over the wastewater and emergency water service agreements with the City of Jacksonville, talk about the ongoing problems with traffic on Hardin Avenue and provide an update on the South Jacksonville gazebo.
Before the regularly scheduled meeting begins at 7 p.m., trustee members will conduct a public hearing at 6:45 p.m., regarding site plans for Sleep Inn & Suites.
The highlights of the monthly board meeting consist of voting on the items discussed during the committee meetings earlier in the night.
Other interesting notes include an update on the Concert in the Cornfield Celebration, multiple village employment updates and information on the Whewell Restaurant Development Project.
