Robert Gill made a brief appearance in Morgan County Court Friday afternoon.

Special prosecutor Charles Colburn informed the court, and about 30 individuals in attendance, that DNA results need more time to be completed.

The computer and technology examination from the state has been finished and the evidence has been returned to the rightful owners, according to Colburn.

Gill’s attorney, Scott Hankin, requested that matters of the case be continued to July 22nd at 1:30 p.m.

Judge April Troemper clarified that any and all subpoenas for the case must be filed before June 30th.

Gill is on trial for murdering his former son-in-law at the Jacksonville Police Department parking lot in September of 2015.
