A pair of South Jacksonville Police Department issues will be reviewed at Village Hall tonight.

Vacant police officer positions and the replacement of a squad car are on the agenda for the South Jacksonville personnel and finance committee.

Police Chief Josh Hallock says the department is looking to fill two part time positions and role held by the late Officer Scot Fitzgerald.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m.

The village’s golf cart ordinance will be discussed during a public protection committee at 6:30 p.m. If any agreement is reached, the mater will be brought to the South Jacksonville trustees on April 7th.

Jacksonville’s City Council approved street legal golf cart and utv vehicles during Monday’s meeting.

In other South Jacksonville news, village officials are reminding rural fire protection service customers that subscription fees are due May 1st.

Individuals with property located outside of the village’s corporate limits and within the village’s service area fall into this category. The cost is $75.

Fees can be paid during normal business hours at Village Hall.
