After months of preparation, the Land of Lincoln Goodwill Outlet Store is up and operational in Jacksonville.

A ribbon cutting, consisting of Goodwill employees, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce members and Mayor Andy Ezard, kicked off the outlet store’s grand opening this morning.

Store Manager Sandy Westfall was excited to see a big crowd bright and early.

“This store is 99 cents a pound for whatever you want to purchase, except for big items like furniture. That has a set dollar amount, but isn’t higher than $10. The stuff we get here comes from other stores. This is a second chance store and you get it for a really good discount price.”

The outlet store is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for re-sellers and on Friday to the public. Westfall says days and hours of operation could change.

Land of Lincoln Goodwill employs eight staff members and is looking to bring in a few more.
