UPDATED: Greene County crash requires medical airlift

Three people were ejected from their vehicle during a crash this morning in Greene County.

Illinois State Police confirmed that Greene County deputies arrived at the scene of the crash at around 1:30 a.m.

Involved in the crash were 21 year old Jacob Fanning from White Hall, 19 year old Franklin Springman from Greenfield and a 17 year old juvenile from White Hall.

The details we have state Fanning, the driver, left the road way, over corrected his truck in an attempt to get it back onto the roadway and lost control of the truck. The truck then proceeded to roll over and it came to rest in the roadway.

Fanning and Springman were transported to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, by Survival Flight. The juvenile was transported to Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville, by Greene County Ambulance.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and no citations have been issued at this time.

The crash is being investigated by the Illinois State Police Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit.
