A Roodhouse man will avoid more jail time after being arrested in September for allegedly leading law enforcement on a dangerous high-speed chase.

Thirty-five-year-old Aaron Link pleaded guilty last Friday in Greene County Court to aggravated fleeing of police. Link was sentenced to 64 days in jail, with credit for 32 days and day-for-day to apply. Link was sentenced to two years of conditional discharge and fined $600.

Other charges, including DUI, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, and improper lane usage, were dropped as part of the plea deal.

Link was pulled over by Roodhouse Police during a traffic stop. He led police on a chase on roads including Routes 106 and 67, and then several Greene County blacktops, before being boxed in by several law enforcement agencies.

No injuries or vehicle damage were reported.
