When the Carrollton City Council meets next week it will be the first time aldermen operate at full strength in almost a year.

During an October 26th special meeting, Earl “Joe” Harness Jr. was elected acting mayor. For the past year Harness Jr served as both mayor pro-tem and alderman.

The board also filled three vacant alderman position in the city.

One of those seats belong to Francis “Gene” Baker, who passed away last month at the age of 70. Taking over that role is Albert Roth.

Former alderman Suzie Keller moved out of her district in August, forcing her to step down from her position. Joe Montanez will take over the seat.

Larry Gillingham will fill the vacant alderman position left by Harness Jr.

The next Carrollton City Council meeting is November 10th.
