The executive director of the Morgan County Housing Authority could be in some hot water after an incident earlier this month.

Jacksonville Police arrested 60-year-old Fred Clinton of Alexander around 2 p-m on Wednesday, July 2nd for battery at Buffalo Wild Wings. The victim in the incident reportedly told police Clinton put his hands around her neck, but no other details were available.

Clinton and Morgan County Housing Board vice president Tom Winner were both reached for comment this afternoon and both declined to comment. However, a person answering the telephone at the housing authority office in Jacksonville answered “yes” when asked if Clinton was still the executive director.

No charges have been formally filed against Clinton, but he’s due to appear in court on August 5th.
