The Illinois Commerce Commission has reportedly given the green light for a pipeline to be constructed here carrying oil from North Dakota.

Multiple media outlets have reported the ICC has granted permission for construction to the Dakota Access Pipeline, which will carry oil through Morgan and Scott Counties to a junction in Patoka, Illinois, before heading further south.

Recent road access agreements were reached in Morgan and Scott Counties, and about 1-hundred miles of pipe materials have been delivered to a yard in Riggston.

Pipeline officials are still working on regulatory approval in North Dakota and Iowa.
