Area businesses and individuals gathered at Hamilton’s last night for the 2018 annual Chamber of Commerce Meeting.

The Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed people from around west central Illinois last night for a night of socializing, food and awards. This year’s theme for the dinner was “Portraits of Success,” and several area businesses received awards from the Chamber for their success throughout 2017.

Several awards were handed out at last night’s meeting, including the Small Business of the Year, awarded to The Source, Large Business of the Year, given to McDonald’s, and Not-for-Profit Business of the Year, to Midwest Youth Services.

The Chamber also gives out their annual Circle of Excellence Award to an individual in the Jacksonville area. Receiving this year’s Circle of Excellence Award was Jack Lukeman, who served as Chamber Chairman in 1987 and was a member of Contact Club for 30 years.
