ABC’s hit entrepreneur reality show “Shark Tank” is inviting a Routt graduate back to check up on his weekend rental business.

Almost a year ago, CEO Michael Doyle and co-founder Drew Mitchell traveled to the set of Shark Tank in hopes of earning a $200,000 investment for 10 percent of their company, Rent Like A Champion.

After the presentation, Doyle and Mitchell drew the attention of three sharks. Kevin O’Leary threw out an offer of $200,000 for 15 percent of the company. Guest shark Chris Sacca and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban countered that with a partnership offer of $200,000 for 10 percent of the company. Doyle and Mitchell were all smiles as they agreed to that deal.

According to an interview with the Jacksonville Journal Courier, Doyle’s business has “grown in size significantly” since the episode aired.

He says, “There was a huge impact. You really can’t overstate how much the exposure helps. Overnight you go from most of the country not knowing who you are to six million people seeing who you are. The biggest impact has been on the supply side. New homeowners are seeing what we do and want to get involved. “

The student housing company created in 2006 gives individuals the opportunity to rent properties near College Football, NASCAR and PGA events, in the effort to provide the ultimate sporting experience.

The episode will air on November 11th at 8 p.m.
