Jacksonville Police foot pursuit leads to arrest of homeless man

Jacksonville Police entered into a foot pursuit last night to obtain a homeless man wanted on multiple out of county warrants.

According to Jacksonville Police, two officers saw 19-year-old Quantorius Courtney walking in the 12-hundred block of Allen at around 6 p.m.

Reports claim Courtney started running once he spotted the officers. One officer began pursuit on foot and the other by squad car.

Courtney was apprehended a few blocks later near Oak Street.

Courtney was booked at the Morgan County Jail for failure to appear for burglary and criminal trespass to land, as well as new charges including residential burglary, criminal damage to property, resisting a peace officer and home invasion.

Courtney is still behind bars.
