Jacksonville’s prison makes its way onto a list of sites that could be facing financial problems.

New analysis shows that five of the state’s prisons don’t have enough money to pay their employees for the rest of the fiscal year that ends June 30th. Numbers gathered by the Quad City Times reveals the budget issues could affect the paychecks of nearly 5-thousand prison workers.

Prisons that could have trouble meeting payroll include Jacksonville, as well as facilities in Vandalia, Taylorville, Mount Sterling, and Sumner.
