A Jacksonville woman is in custody after an incident that took place this morning at Jacksonville High School.

Officers from the Jacksonville Police Department responded to the school at around 9:30 after 33-year-old Amanda Gaston, of the 1200 block of North Diamond, reportedly shattered a door and caused a disturbance outside the main office.

Reports from the JPD say Gaston was angry because her daughter had been arrested at the high school.

No injuries were reported.

Gaston was arrested for criminal damage to state supported property and remains in custody at the Morgan County Jail.
