A Jacksonville woman, involved with a meth bust during the summer, was sentenced in Morgan County Court this morning.

Forty-one-year-old Kelly Nelson, of the 300 block of East Douglas, received four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for meth manufacturing and delivery.

According to Morgan County Sheriff Randy Duvendack, deputies searched Nelson’s house in July to follow up on information regarding a meth cook.

Duvendack said when deputies entered the residence they discovered an active meth lab and some quantity.

The charge of aggravated participation in meth manufacturing was dropped in the plea deal. Nelson was also given a two year mandatory supervised release.
