Jacksonville Police responded to a home invasion in the city Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the 800 block of Allen at around 2:30 p.m. after reports that the suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Derek Elmore of the 1-thousand block of South East, was in the area with a knife and handgun.
Elmore fled the scene on foot but was apprehended by police in the 700 block of East Lafayette.
Following the initial investigation, Elmore was arrested for home invasion, aggravated robbery and armed robbery.
