Krush Time to host Ninja Warrior qualifier

Krush Time in Jacksonville is hosting its first Ninja Warrior Competition qualifier.

Owner Josh Jones says the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association is separate from the American Ninja Warrior television show, but includes the same type of athletes.

“There is going to be 10 obstacles, including quintuple steps and some upper body stuff like hanging from rings. You have to do the 14 foot warped wall and other crazy stuff like that,” says Jones.

Jones says a handful of competitors between the 18-35 age range have shown interest in Krush Time’s qualifier.

“Myself and three others have actually applied from the NBC show and we are just waiting to hear back from that. We have a lot of interest from surrounding towns. Quincy, Springfield and Decatur come over in big groups, so it has been good,” says Jones.

The winners of the April 2nd KrushTime qualifier move on to the Indianapolis regional. The select few who make it to the finals have a chance at winning $10,000.

Entry fee for the Ninja Warrior Competition is $40. To sign up, call Krush Time at 243-3344. Runners can compete from 10-4 p.m.
