Congressman Darin LaHood is congratulating seven U.S. Service Academy appointees in the 18th Congressional District.
One of them is Matthew Helmich of Virginia, who graduated from Virginia High School and is attending Air Force Academy.
The seven students are from a group of 22 original nominees.
LaHood said on the House floor this week in Washington that the talent of the seven appointees is inspiring and diverse.
