A priest at Our Saviour Catholic Church has been named the pastor at Eastern Illinois University.
Father Hyland Smith has been appointed by Bishop Thomas Paprocki to be the pastor of St. Borromeo Parish and the chaplain of EIU’s Newman Center in Charleston.
Smith has been the Parochial Vicar at Our Saviour for the last three years following his ordination to the priesthood in 2013. He begins on July 1st.
