Tonight’s MacMurray College volleyball scrimmage against Augustana College will be raising money to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The event is scheduled to kick off with a junior varsity match at 7 p.m. and be followed by the varsity match at 8 p.m.
All the proceeds from the event will go towards the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Gateway Chapter in St. Louis.
According to a press release, the event is free and donations are being accepted at the door.
Cystic fibrosis is a lung disease caused by a defective gene that makes the body produce thick mucus, which clogs the lungs and leads to life threatening infections.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s mission is to find a cure to improve the lives of people living with this disease.
