A Jacksonville High School player has received honorable mention from the Associated Press boys’ 3A all-state team.
Junior Brandon McCombs was included in the honorable mention players on the list released yesterday. McCombs is a 6-7 power forward who scored over 14 points a game for the Crimsons this season.
Named to the first team All-state was 5-8 senior guard Xavier Bishop of Lanphier
Joining McCombs on the all-state honorable mention list in three A are D’Angelo Hughes of Southeast, Keymonta Johnson of Decatur MacArthur, and Trevyon Williams of Southeast.
No less than three first team 3A all staters, and three from the 4A team are competing in the 3A and 4A state tournament in Peoria this weekend.
