Morgan County Commissioners approve plat requests

A handful of items were up for discussion this morning during the final Morgan County Board of Commissioners meeting of 2014.

A pair of topics pertaining to plats in Morgan County appeared on the agenda. The long subdivision plat was approved to be vacated and the Prairie Power place plat, in conjunction with South East Street, was accepted.

Board members held a brief discussion regarding the County Highway Engineer Salary. The payment reflects state recommendations.

The Morgan County host community agreement revealed an increase on tipping fees. Morgan County will now be charging $0.30, up from a quarter, per transfer. Since Morgan County began tipping four years ago, over 1.9 million tons of waste has been transferred.

Bills totaling around $40,000 and payrolls were accepted, along with the fiscal year 2015 levy worth $5,739,118.
