A Murrayville man received jail time yesterday after pleading guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

A 13 day jail sentence was handed down to 29 year old Dave Depper in Morgan County Court. According to State’s Attorney Bobby Bonjean, Depper was arrested in early 2015, stemming from allegations that occurred in Murrayville.

Bonjean  says there were additional conditions involved in Depper’s sentencing besides the jail time.

“He was basically placed on two years of probation, he is to have no contact with the victim, he is to consume no alcohol for the fist six months and that is going to be monitored by an alcohol monitoring device and he is to comply with the recommendations of the sex offender evaluation.”

Depper was also fined $1,935 and is subject to any counseling recommended by the probation department.
