LaHood is continuing work on establishing staff several weeks after he was sworn in to replace Aaron Schock.

In a press release, LaHood said, “With the 18th District having gone without representation over the past six months, it is our main goal to pick up existing work and provide the help needed to those in our district.”

Interviews are currently being conducted for various case work positions in the Jacksonville, as well as Peoria and Springfield offices. Steven Pfrang will serve as Chief of Staff for LaHood in Washington, while a district director and press secretary have been hired in Peoria.
