An Ohio man, who has been on the run from law enforcement, was arrested last week in Jacksonville by the U.S. Marshals Service.

A press release from Perry County Sheriff William Barker states Robert D. Franklin was arrested without incident on July 25th.

Reports claim officers found Franklin hiding in a basement of a city home.

Morgan County Sheriff Randy Duvendack confirmed Franklin was behind bars in Jacksonville from July 25-31.

The press release adds Franklin was indicted by a Perry County grand jury in November 2015 for his role in the manufacturing of methamphetamine in Crooksville, Ohio. Franklin was sentenced to five years in prison for his involvement in the meth lab in October of 2015. Before prosecutors could secure an indictment for Franklin, he had fled the state.

Franklin is being held in the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and could face up to 13 years in prison.
