Passavant Area Hospital is now offering comprehensive weight loss and wellness services to patients in Jacksonville and the surrounding community.
Thanks to a partnership with Springfield-based Memorial Weight Loss and Wellness Center, the physician-led program will provide a comprehensive, medically managed approach through nutritional education, physical fitness support, medical therapies, surgical procedures and lifestyle techniques.
According to a Passavant press release, more than 154 million Americans older than 20 are overweight or obese. Seventy-percent of Morgan County residents fall into this category.
The facility is located inside the Specialty Clinic on the second floor of the East Wing.
