A second arrest has been made in connection to a shooting in Jacksonville in October.
Thirty-two-year-old Perry Sykes of the 800 block of North Clay turned himself into Jacksonville Police at around 2:00 this morning on a Morgan County warrant for aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated battery.
Jacksonville Police have already arrested 22-year-old Skee Sanders of the 700 block of North Main for aggravated discharge of a firearm and driving with a revoked license charges. He’s due in court later this month.
Officers received a report of shots fired in the 1100 block of North Clay in the early morning hours of October 11th. Upon arrival, officers located a black female with a gunshot wound. Evidence was recovered during the investigation that indicates multiple shots were fired.
Prosecutors say there’s accountability language in the charges for both men.
Sykes remains in custody.
