Pinfall Wrestling Association co-owner Timothy Givens spoke with WLDS/WEAI News this week to promote the organization’s latest event, Saturday Night Carnage.
Givens says wrestling fans have flocked to venues in Beardstown, Springfield and Jacksonville to witness the non-stop action PWA has to offer.
“When you come to a PWA show, you are going to see an actual wrestling show. We are a family friendly company that takes the classic flair of professional wrestling, with a twist of the new type of wrestling going around.”
PWA currently runs 30 shows a year and a training center in Auburn for aspiring wrestlers to learn the skills it takes to jump in the ring.
Givens says PWA has grown a lot since the early days of the promotion.
“When we started in 2011, we were putting on five to seven shows a year in front of 50 people. By the third year we were selling out, working with all the local talent and even some of the bigger names in the wrestling industry.”
Givens says the main event for the evening makes Saturday Night Carnage a must-see show.
“You are going to see a huge six man tag team event featuring the PWA Champion ZeroHype Guy Smith and the PWA Tag Team Champions, The Alliance, taking on Benz and the Money Making Jam Boys.”
The event starts at 7 p.m. at Bogart’s Banquet Hall. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for kids.
