Scott County law enforcement officials are looking for a man allegedly involved in an odd incident that started in Manchester and ended in South Jacksonville this morning.

South Jacksonville Police Chief Mike Broaddus says a domestic incident between a boyfriend and girlfriend led to the former chasing the latter in a vehicle from Manchester to the Quik and EZ gas station on South Main Street shortly after 11 a-m.

Broaddus says the woman went into the station, and the man, instead of following her in, turned around and left.

Initial scanner reports indicated the man had a gun, but Broaddus said there was no gun involved. He says the woman was taken to Passavant Area Hospital and is being treated for unspecified injuries.

South Jacksonville and Jacksonville police officers responded to the scene.      An investigation is ongoing.

Broaddus says South Jacksonville Elementary School was put on a soft lockdown for about a half hour while the incident unfolded.
