Officials behind a high-voltage statewide transmission line project are providing an update on the application process.

Thursday marks the end of a four-day evidentiary hearing on the Clean Line Energy application with the Illinois Commerce Commission for the Grain Belt Express project, which would carry wind power from Kansas to Indiana.

A decision is expected from the ICC by November 21st, according to a press release. A spokesman says the review process has been “detailed” and that the company used the review as an opportunity to promote the delivery of what it says will be low-cost energy to Illinois.
