Prairieland United Way supporters met at the Nichols Park Pavilion this morning for the Corporate Campaign Kickoff.

The 2015 United Way Campaign Theme is “LIVE UNITED- Building Stronger Communities.”

Representative CD Davidsmeyer and his wife, Kristen, will serve as co-chairs for the campaign. The Davidsmeyer’s say they will be doing everything possible to make this campaign a big success.

“We are really excited to get going on this campaign and help the services the United Way helps throughout the year. It is more important now than ever, with the issues we have in the state of Illinois, to make sure we reach $530-thousand and even surpass it,” says CD Davidsmeyer.

“The money goes towards the great organizations that help people in need. Our goal is to raise money and help the people that are in the most need,” says Kristen Davidsmeyer.

The leading donators for the previous campaign include Blue Cross Blue Shield with $47-thousand, Diversified Crop Insurance Services with $42-thousand, Passavant Area Hospital donating $39-thousand, Jacksonville Savings Bank with $39-thousand and DOT Foods with $28-thousand.

The top 20 donators were responsible for bringing in over 73 percent of the total campaign.
