MacMurray College’s Applebee Art Gallery is concluding its latest two person show with a reception tonight.
“Animal Motives”, which is free and open to the public, brings together the complementary work of Sarah Marshall and Matthew Hopson-Walker. Both artists are currently working in Alabama.
According to a press release from MacMurray, Marshall’s work explores flight as a metaphor for escape, belief, longing and growth. As for Hopson-Walker, his work taps into his formative years reading comic books and science fiction novels.
The reception starts at the Applebee Art Gallery at 6 p.m.
