Mayor Tom Martin tells WLDS-WEAI News that Gladys Patricia Plahan resigned from her role as City Clerk about a month ago.
Martin says Plahan held the City Clerk position under three different mayors. In recent years, the City Clerk’s role has been cut down to 8-10 hours a week.
Martin has yet to appoint someone to take over as City Clerk. The position will be listed on the 2017 ballot.
