Three of the 10 music acts for the Jacksonville Levitt Amp Concert Series have been released.

The City of Jacksonville was one of 15 towns across America to capture the $25,000 grant back in January. Jacksonville Main Street plans to bring 10 outdoor concerts to the Downtown Square.

Event Coordinator Kristen Jenkins highlights the three artists already confirmed for the celebration.

“Well so far we have Benton Blount, a country singer who was on America’s Got Talent. We are excited to have him as our opening act on June 3rd.  We will have Marina V back on June 10th. She performed last year during the Downtown Celebration. She is a Russian-Pop singer who has some ties to Illinois College.”

Blues artist David Gerald was confirmed for the June 17th show.

The artists were contracted through the St. Louis booking agent associated with the Levitt Amp Grant requirements.

Jenkins says all 10 artists have been booked for the venues and the Jacksonville Main Street Facebook page will periodically be listing each artist.

“Once you’ve liked that then you will start seeing our updates. When we reach milestones on how many people have clicked that they will attend the concert, then we will release more names.”

Jenkins says some of the artists may not be well-known, but each one is carving out their own spotlight as opening artists on the big stage.

In other music news, the Morgan County Fair lineup will feature Gary Allan with Madd Hoss Jackson on Friday July 8th and Chris Janson with Broseph E. Lee on Saturday July 9th. Tickets go on sale April 1st.

The Sangamon County Fair, featuring artists from June 15-18, includes Broseph E. Lee, Parmalee and Granger Smith, Frankie Ballard and Jerrod Niemann.
