One of the premier events for the village of South Jacksonville is happening Saturday night.

The annual Concert in the Cornfield will welcome people from across west central Illinois to the venue on Comfort Drive. Concert committee co-chair Paula Belobrajdic-Stewart says organizers made a few small changes to accommodate visitors this year.

“We moved the beer tent so it’s opposite of our main stage so people can see the main stage a lot better than they did last year. Our beer tent entertainment is going to start immediately after the headliner finishes, and it’s Captain Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters. We’re going to have Broseph E. Lee as our opener.”

The headliner this year is LOCASH.

Gates for the country music event open at 6 p.m. Broseph E. Lee is slated to play from 7:00 to 8:45 p.m., followed by LOCASH. Captain Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters will play next until around 1:00 a.m.
