South Jacksonville Trustees will consider a number of Village ordinances at tonight’s board meeting.

Reports from the village clerk and treasurer will kick the night off, followed by a report from the village president about a number of items, several of which have to do with Halloween or Halloween-themed events.

This report will lead into reports from the planning and public facilities committee as well as the committee on public protection.

At the conclusion of the reports, the board will move in to action items. Tonight’s action items include an engagement of services with Hutchinson Engineering and an ordinance to accept Economic Development Group as an Independent Registered Municipal Advisor. Trustees will also consider ordinances to create a four-way stop at the intersection of Hardin and Michigan, and the hiring of part-time police officers.

Tonight’s meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The next regular meeting for the South Jacksonville Village Board Of Trustees will take place in November.
