Tattoo parlor, gazebo plans and sewer contract updates highlight South Jacksonville meeting

South Jacksonville board of trustee members appear to have a busy night ahead of them with eight action items on tonight’s agenda.

A tattoo parlor has expressed interest in establishing a business in the 1800 block of South Main. The South Jacksonville Plans Commission reviewed this topic last month and the board will vote on their recommendations.

Board members will also take action to renew the MABAS agreement, which allows South Jacksonville to be reimbursed for costs of equipment or manpower during emergency with requires their assistance.

Board members will also attempt to come to terms and conditions for an Electric Aggregation Resolution and the stage contract for the Concert in the Cornfield performance.

The South Jacksonville Police Department and City of Jacksonville dispatch agreement will also be reviewed.

The Mayor’s Report will provide updates on the plans to build a gazebo at the East Pavilion of Godfrey Park and the ongoing city negotiations of the South Jacksonville sewer contract.

The meeting will start at 7 p.m. at the Village Hall Board Room.
