The 17-year-old founder and CEO of Validation Project will speak at Illinois College on Monday.
As a bullied teen, Valerie Weisler started the project three years ago and works with more than 6,000 teens in 100 countries. The project’s goal is to turn passions, such as cooking or photography, into positive action through mentoring, community service and media.
According to a press release, Weisler has been featured on CNN, The Meredith Vieira Show and Crain’s New York Business Magazine as one of the 20 under 20.
The presentation at Rammelkamp Chapel starts at 11 a.m. and is free and open to the public.
