A Jacksonville man known as “The Dulcimer Guy” has been invited to perform twice at the latest Songbag concert series in Galesburg.

Mike Anderson, who plays the dulcimer, guitar, banjo, jaw harp and nose flute, will make two appearances at the Carl Sandburg State Historic Site on August 29th. Anderson will be taking the stage at 7 p.m. and 8:20 p.m.

A donation of $3 per person is suggested and refreshments will be served.

According to a press release, Carl Sandburg was a collector and performer of America’s folk songs and the series is named in honor of his book “The American Songbag,” which was published in 1927.
