A third alleged meth lab gets busted in Jacksonville less than halfway into the first month of the new year.

Jacksonville Police arrested 26-year-old Todd McDade of the 400 block of North Prairie at his residence yesterday at around 11:15 a.m. after a caller told police to check the building in reference to a “weird smell”.

McDade was arrested for aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing, possession of meth precursors, possession of materials to make the drug, and use of property for meth-related offenses.

According to reports, police responded and discovered an active lab in McDade’s apartment while he was present.

McDade has been booked at the Morgan County Jail and remains in custody.
