UPDATE: Glen Brown now says the fire is considered suspicious, and that the State Fire Marshal is investigating.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Reports indicate the Waverly Fire Department was called out at around 8:15 to a double-wide trailer at 374 East Brown Street in Waverly. Fire Chief Glen Brown says the trailer was fully engulfed when crews arrived.
Brown says the trailer belonged to a Terry Robinson. He says no one was home at the time. He says the fire is not suspicious, but officials aren’t sure how it started.
Brown says the trailer was a total loss. About $50-to-$60-thousand in damage was caused, and he adds a neighboring house owned by the Waverly Christian Church Parsonage also suffered about $15-to-$20-thousand in damage. There were no injuries reported.
Fire crews were on scene for about four hours.
