Turner Junior High School will be the focus of tonight’s District 117 meeting.
A discussion was held at last month’s meeting to entertain the possibility of changing the name of Turner to Jacksonville Middle School, the mascot to the Junior Crimsons and school colors to red and white. Board members will vote to make those changes during the meeting.
Board members are also scheduled to consider the updated interior design plans of Turner Jr. High from BLDD Architects.
Board policy updates regarding transportation and sexual harassment will also be reviewed.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at Jacksonville High School.
