UPDATE on accident involving five young adults in Jacksonville

A 19 year old Jacksonville man remains in critical condition from a single-vehicle crash on Sunday morning.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, five young adults were “seriously hurt” and taken to hospitals after an accident on Old State Road near Fox Lane at 3 a.m.

Reports claim the car was traveling east when it left the road, rolled several times and landed in a cornfield. All five individuals were taken to hospitals after the crash.

WLDS-WEAI News reached out to staff at Memorial Medical Center and St. John’s Hospital to find out the condition of the five individuals involved in the crash.

Jordan Lahey of Jacksonville remains in critical condition at Memorial. Nineteen-year-old CJ Pitman and 18-year-old Kobe Allen, both of Jacksonville, received treatment over the last 24 hours and are now listed in “good condition.”

Twenty-year-old Shawn Bentley of Beardstown is listed in “good condition” at St. John’s Hospital. Nineteen-year-old Anderson Rouland of Jacksonville, who was driving the vehicle, was discharged from St. John’s on Monday.
