The identity of the Greene County man involved in a high speed chase earlier this month is being released.

Greene County State’s Attorney Caleb Briscoe confirms a slew of charges have been filed against 51-year-old William Orr of Greenfield, who is still on the loose.

Macoupin County deputies charged Orr with aggravated fleeing and attempting to allude police, as well as possession of a weapon by a felon.

On behalf of Greene County, Briscoe charged Orr with unlawful failure to change the address of a sex offender.

Macoupin County Sheriff Shawn Kahl tells WLDS-WEAI News officers have been hard at work searching for Orr, but he is yet to turn up. Kahl says the U.S. Marshals could get involved soon.

Back on September 6th, Orr got away from a pair of investigators who were questioning him in Greenfield. What ensued was a high speed chase, topping out at speeds of 80-90 miles per hour throughout rural Greene County.

At one point in the chase, Orr threw a shotgun out the window of his car.
