Waverly Superintendent Debra Rust is retiring.

The State Journal-Register reports the school board earlier this month named Tri-City principal Dustin Day to replace Rust, who is retiring at the end of this school year. Rust has spent about a decade with the Waverly School District.

The SJ-R says Day will also serve as the prekindergarten-to-fifth-grade principal. A salary and length of contract have not been finalized.
