The proposed South Jacksonville Welcome Sign has made its way to the monthly village meeting.

Trustees introduced the groundwork for the sign during a committee meeting last week. A vote to appraise property at South Main and West Michigan, where the sign would be located, is among the action items for tonight.

Other action items include voting for a special use permit for a one chair barbershop at 9 Diana Lane, approval of tourism funds and approving the MFT Supplemental Maintenance Program.

Updates on the Concert in the Cornfield and Village Celebration will also be provided.

Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. for a personnel and finance committee meeting for budget discussion of fiscal year 2017.

The regular meeting starts at 7 p.m. at Village Hall.
