Worrell Land Service to hold farm transition meeting

An informational session, focusing on farm transition, is being hosted by Worrell Land Services in Jacksonville.

A press release from Worrell Land Services shows that guest speaker Tom Bayer will lead the February 4th session. Bayer is the head of the agricultural industry unit at Sikich accounting firm.

Those in attendance will learn about transition plans for farm businesses, the financial steps required to pass farm land to the next generation and the tax implications of selling your farm.

The free session starts at 10 a.m. on February 4th inside the U of I Extension Office in Jacksonville.
