A discussion of liquor sales for two major downtown events in Jacksonville is scheduled for tonight’s City Council meeting.
The mayor’s report includes talking about allowing alcohol at the Downtown Celebration and the Levitt AMP Concert Series; Jacksonville was recently announced as one of the winners of a contest to bring the concerts to town.
The first reading of the 2016 Appropriations Budget is on the agenda, as well.
Aldermen also are scheduled to vote on collective bargaining agreements for unions representing city firefighters and municipal building employees.
Things get underway with a workshop at 6:30 at the Jacksonville Municipal Building.
