Actress Amber Tamblyn to appear at Illinois College next month

A well-known actress, author and director will be at Illinois College next month to give the Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellows Lecture.

Amber Tamblyn’s lecture is called “Hollyweird: Entertainment Business Realities, Successes, Pitfalls, Hardships and Discoveries”. The lecture will be February 8th at 11 a.m. at Rammelkamp Chapel.

Tamblyn will have a follow-up event on February 9th at the Kirby Learning center called “Not Your Typical Poetry Reading: Poems and Musings on the Creative Life”.

Tamblyn was the title character in CBS’ Joan of Arcadia, has starred on the medical series House, and she has also appeared in movies such as The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, The Ring and 127 Hours.

Both presentations are free and open to the public.
