A new fast food restaurant is coming to South Jacksonville.
South Jacksonville Village President Steve Waltrip says A&W Restaurant is scheduled to open in April on South Main at the old Subway building next to the Fast Stop gas station.
According to the Internet, A&W is famous for serving root beer in frosty mugs. The chain serves hamburgers, French fries and hot dogs, among other items. It started in 1919 in Lodi, California.
